Abstract


THE IMPACT OF CULTURE AND CULTURE DIMENSIONS ON INNOVATION CAPACITIES

The aim of the study investigates the relationship between innovation and culture, which is seen as one of the most important sources of competitive advantage in recent years. For this target, culture, innovation and Hofstede culture dimensionse, concepts are defined and the relationships between them are revealed. Whether the cultural structure of countries have an impact on the level of innovative competencies has been analyzed in literature. The most important literature study on the cultural dimensions of the countries was made by Hofstede. As a result of this work, national culture influences innovation, and if an enterprise is in a new country it is very important that it analyze the culture and make structural changes to succeed in another culture. The results of the research showed that cultural and Hofstede cultural subdimensions had significant influence on innovation.. In the end of the study, the data were interpreted and possible benefits for the literature and practitioners were discussed.
