Aim of this research is to examine cultural convergence between the Turkish and Western cultures for the last 50 years and to explore the way of convergence. Research is conducted focusing on individualism-collectivism dimension of culture. In this research, observation and literature review methods were used and as an observation tool, it is based on the Turkish cinema which is seen as a significant tool for revealing change in every area in the life of the Turkish society. Focusing on the important films during the mentioned period, change in the society is followed. Since culture has a wide perspective and usage, analysis and observation is restricted with individualism-collectivism dimension of culture. The question of if collectivist Turkish culture is evolving to individualistic culture because of close connection with the Western culture is answered. Results confirm presence of cultural convergence between two cultures. However, the convergence is one way, as the Turkish culture converging to Western. Reflection of that result to individualism-collectivism dimension is, the Turkish culture is evolving to individualistic culture and a less collectivist Turkish culture is arising.
